The Titans are considering throwing much-travelled halfback Jackson Hastings a lifeline in 2026.

Hastings, 29, will not be re-signed by the Knights after three mixed seasons at the club and looked set to return to England, where he has played his best football.

But the former Roosters, Manly, Salford, Wigan, Tigers, Knights and Great Britain playmaker is believed to be in the sights of incoming Titans coach Josh Hannay.

"Josh sees Jackson's experience and ability to get the team around the park as an asset," a source close to the situation told Wide World of Sports.

"He believes Jackson can get the best out of young players like Jayden Campbell and Keano Kini.

"They are weighing it up now."

A former Australian Schoolboy, Hastings is the son of champion Roosters great of the 1970s and '80s Kevin Hastings.

He has had an up and down career, spending much of last season at the wooden spoon Knights in the NSW Cup.

But there is no doubting his attitude and will to win and class playmakers are in short supply in the NRL at the moment, prompting the Titans' interest.
