A monstrous Latrell Mitchell field goal secured a 22-14 victory for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in a nail-biter against the Brisbane Broncos on Friday night.
Mitchell was the man in drizzly conditions at Accor Stadium, starring with a 50-metre field goal, a penalty goal, a try and three conversions to tally 14 points.
"He turned up in key moments throughout the game when they needed him most," Allana Ferguson said of Mitchell's performance on Nine.

Adding to the Broncos' woes, halfback Ben Hunt limped off with a hamstring injury in the 66th minute.
Hunt immediately raised his hand to signal that he wanted to come off before making a beeline for the sideline.
Concerningly for the Broncos, no one was around Hunt when he pulled up lame. The club confirmed he will go for scans on Saturday.
Despite Souths putting up a fight early, Brisbane hit the scoreboard first.
Jordan Riki opened the scoring in the 14th minute when a cross-field kick was not contested by the Rabbitohs, allowing the second-rower to benefit from an inside pass from Deine Mariner.
Riki looked like he might commit a double movement as he paused over the line. However, he resisted stretching his arm and Latrell Mitchell in defence followed suit and helped him put it over.
The Broncos extended their lead with a two-point penalty goal to Adam Reynolds after Jamie Humphreys was found to be offside.
Mariner scored in the corner as Brisbane took a 14-0 lead into the half-time break.

The Rabbitohs responded in the second half, opening their account in the 42nd minute.
Prop Siliva Havili burrowed down from hooker, denying three defenders.
Building momentum, South Sydney soon had back-to-back tries after some individual brilliance from Isaiah Tass.
With the Rabbitohs within two points, Mitchell mowed down and laid a try-saving tackle that carried him Mariner out of touch.
Mitchell locked up the score at 14-all with a two-point penalty goal of his own after Xavier Willison was penalised and placed on report for a high shot on Lachlan Hubner.
Mitchell booted a field goal from halfway to capture the lead before icing the match with a try from close range.
He surrendered with one knee on the ground but then rose to his feet and went over to score.
"Can't he find a big moment, Latrell Mitchell?" Billy Slater told Nine's coverage.
Phil Gould added: "He's a phenomenon, there's no other word for him."
With the result, Broncos coach Michael Maguire has now lost 11 of his past 12 games against supercoach Wayne Bennett.
