Mitchell Moses ushered in and out of ground by police riot squad after mid-week death threat
Parramatta Eels halfback Mitchell Moses had an intense security presence around CommBank Stadium on Friday night against the Warriors after the 27-year-old received a death threat earlier in the week.
Moses was secretly ushered in and out of the venue by a police riot squad and security team using a tunnel underneath the western Sydney ground.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the threat was made during the week to a member of Moses' family. It was then relayed to the playmaker and reported to the NRL, who contacted the police.

In tightening security measures for the Eels' clash with the Warriors, venue officials were on heightened alert, monitoring the crowd throughout the match for signs of danger.
Spectators attending the match were also subject to searches by hand-held metal detectors, in addition to the usual bag searches.

"It's a pretty scary thing," Moses told Triple M on Saturday.
"I think it was worse because [the] contact was to my family. When people start to get into your family it's harder. Couple of text messages and couple of phone calls.
"It was non-stop. It didn't come through to me. It came to my family. To see them in that situation is not good for any person let alone a footballer."

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said the league was taking the threats against Moses seriously.
"Part of our job is to ensure we have a sport that's professional and to maintain the integrity and safety of players and fans," Abdo told ABC Sport radio.
"As soon we got the intelligence we worked together with police, stadium and the club. Extra security and protection [was on hand] relating to Mitchell Moses ... we have a team that works around the clock."
