New Zealand Warriors offering free entry to season opener after Christchurch shooting
The New Zealand Warriors have responded to Friday's devastating mosque shooting in Christchurch by offering free entry for its season opener against the Bulldogs on Saturday.
The entire country of New Zealand is in mourning after the shocking attacks which claimed the lives of 49 and endangered many more, and the Warriors hoped to show fans a mark of respect.
"For the remainder of the day all tickets to the game will be free of charge," Warriors CEO Cameron George told reporters.
"We represent New Zealand and Christchurch is a huge part of our fan base.

"Mt Smart (Stadium) is our home and a safe house for every New Zealander.
"This is our way of paying respects to the horrible tragedy yesterday, and hopefully bringing people together in what is a devastating time for the country."
The Warriors will wear black armbands and a minute's silence will also be observed by both teams before kick-off. The New Zealand national anthem will also be played.
Security around Mt Smart Stadium will also be beefed up in the wake of Friday's attack.
