NRL All Stars match set to dump national anthem: report
The national anthem could be dumped from next year's All Stars match and possibly from all non-Kangaroos games, in a motion put forward by the NRL's Indigenous advisory group.
According to a News Corp report, the Australian Rugby League Indigenous Council, which includes Katrina Fanning, Laurie Daley and All Stars founder Preston Campbell, spoke about the issue at a meeting this week.
They are expected to come a decision within the coming days and present their plan to the ARLC in February.
Latrell Mitchell, Josh Addo-Carr and Cody Walker have made a very public stand against the anthem and opted not to sing it during the State of Origin series and last year's All Stars game.

Will Chambers, Blake Ferguson, James Roberts, Tyrone Peachey and Tyrone Roberts also remained silent.
The thought among Indigenous players is that the national anthem should not be played during a game that's meant to celebrate the influence Indigenous players have had on the game.
There is also a push to have the anthem only be played before games featuring the national side.
Any such decision will rest with the ARL Commission led by chair Peter V'landys at the February meeting.
