Former Kangaroos and Queensland Origin forward Nate Myles is set for a shock move to Melbourne in 2018.

Myles is still under contract to Manly for next season but the Sea Eagles are prepared to let him go after an approach by the Storm.

Myles’ form has been patchy over the past couple of seasons but on his day, the 31-year-old prop can be among the game’s most destructive forwards.

Storm coach Craig Bellamy is a big fan of Myles’ toughness and work rate and knows the big man will add something to his squad on and off the field.

Myles is a veteran of over 200 NRL games in the trenches for Canterbury, the Roosters, Gold Coast and Manly and has played a mammoth 31 games for Queensland.

A popular and hard-hitting forward, he will be a success under Bellamy, who gets the best out of senior players late in their careers.

The Storm have lost two key forwards for next season in Tohu Harris (New Zealand Warriors) and Jordan McLean (North Queensland Cowboys) and Myles will help fill the gap left by their departures.
