Titans to grant wanted playmaker Jamal Fogarty a release, expected to sign with Canberra
The Gold Coast Titans are set to release Jamal Fogarty from the final two years of his contract, which will allow the playmaker to link up with the Canberra Raiders.
Multiple outlets are reporting Fogarty's impending move to Canberra, which had been brewing for several weeks, is expected to be announced soon with the Titans softening their stance on keeping the halfback to his contract.

The 27-year-old's departure will likely open the door for Titans young gun Toby Sexton, who's tipped to see more time in the No.7 jersey next season.
It's understood Fogarty's management will test out the open market, but the Raiders are considered front-runners.

Fogarty's move follows the departures of fellow playmakers Ash Taylor and Tyrone Peachey, who the Titans informed wouldn't be part of the club's plans in 2022.
It's expected Fogarty will fill the void left by Raiders halfback George Williams who was granted a release to return home to England back in May.

Just last week Nine News' Danny Weidler revealed the Titans would hold Fogarty to his contract and not grant him a release.
Fogarty in 21 games this season scored four tries, notched 13 try assists and made 11 line-break assists.
