Frizell delivers magic flick pass for Dragons try

They have been maligned for their lack of attack, but St George Illawarra showed a ton of try-scoring flair during their clash with Canberra on Sunday.

None more so than hard-running backrower Tyson Frizell, who delivered a brilliant flick pass to set up winger Jason Nightingale for a scintillating try at WIN Stadium.

With the Dragons leading 14-6 in the 32nd minute, hooker Mitch Rein broke away from dummy-half deep in St George Illawarra territory with a blitzing run out of the ruck.

Rein flew downfield and with just Raiders fullback Jack Wighton to beat, threw a well-timed pass to hit Frizell on the fly.

The Dragons forward looked to be hemmed in by the defence but just as he was being tackled by Canberra pivot Blake Austin, squeezed out a superb flick pass to find Nightingale, who crossed the line untouched.

The try earned rave reviews from Fox Sports commentators Andrew Voss and Mark Gasnier, with Voss hailing the free-running Dragons.

"Their attack is the equivalent of some of the best attacks we've seen in the competition, on what we're seeing here today," said Voss.
