Dolphins make history with first NRL player signing as young gun Harrison Graham joins Wayne Bennett's squad
NRL's incoming 17th club, the Dolphins, have reportedly signed their first player.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, young gun hooker Harrison Graham has put pen to paper on a development contract.
The 20-year-old, who represented Queensland in the under 18s State of Origin in 2019, could have his contract upgraded if he's ready by the 2023 NRL season, which is when the Dolphins will enter the competition.
It's understood Graham also has a train-and-trial contract with rival club the Broncos for the upcoming pre-season, and Brisbane could decide to sign him to an NRL deal for 2022.
Graham spent the 2021 season with the Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the Queensland Cup.

Last month, the Dolphins gave fans a glimpse of what's to come with the unveiling of its Heritage Round jersey.

Inaugural coach Wayne Bennett took to Suncorp Stadium recently to showcase the club's new jersey, as well as a major sponsor.
While the club has controversially dropped Redcliffe from its name, the special occasion Heritage Round jersey will play a big part in acknowledging the Dolphins' history.
