Apisai Koroisau reportedly set to sign three-year deal with Canterbury Bulldogs

Canterbury's impressive end to the season continues, this time on the recruiting front, with the news that hooker Apisai Koroisau is reportedly set to sign a three-year bumper deal with the club, starting in the 2020 season.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Koroisau departs Manly, after being told that the emergence of young gun Manase Fainu meant his services would no longer be required after this season.

The Bulldogs are understood to have beat out the New Zealand Warriors and the Parramatta Eels who were also bidding to pinch Koroisau from Sydney's Northern Beaches.

Koroisau's signing is a major coup for the Bulldogs who have also signed Melbourne's Joe Stimson and South Sydney's Dean Britt for 2020.

While he was candid about his impending exit from the Sea Eagles, the 26-year-old admitted he had no hard feelings with the club.

"It is what it is, footy is footy, it's a business now and you've just got to roll with the punches," Koroisau told AAP.

"I have no bad blood with the club or anything, Des (Hasler, head coach) handled it amazingly.

"He (Hasler) made it very clear he wants me here this year and it instilled a lot of confidence in me.

"That means a lot to me and obviously we are looking to have a big year at the club."
