All is forgiven for Daly Cherry-Evans.

A fortnight after being booed at Queensland's home ground Suncorp Stadium, Cherry-Evans will be welcomed into the Maroons State of Origin camp on the Gold Coast.

The Manly halfback will join Queensland training on Friday along with other fringe players Jacob Lillyman, Chris McQueen, Brenton Lawrence and Nene Macdonald, plus Queensland Cup talent Felise Kaufusi.

Former Maroons No.7 Scott Prince will also help out at the Friday afternoon session, that is expected to be without winger Dane Gagai due to his grandmother's funeral in Mackay.

Queensland great Justin Hodges will assist Maroons training on Sunday.

It will be a shot in the arm for Cherry-Evans who appeared to have suffered an Origin fall from grace.

He was Queensland's starting halfback in game two last year - albeit as injured No.7 Cooper Cronk's replacement.

By game three he was overlooked completely, failing to even nab a bench utility role.

Cherry-Evans has also not endeared himself with Queensland fans after his infamous Gold Coast Titans contract backflip last year.

He was a booed again when he ran out for Manly in their NRL loss to Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium barely two weeks ago.

Cherry-Evans will hope to provide new Queensland coach Kevin Walters a friendly reminder of his talents at Friday's session in a bid to add to his six Origin caps.

Queensland fly out to Sydney on Monday for the series opener at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday.
