Fifita issued breach notice by NRL

Powered by

Controversial Sharks forward Andrew Fifita has been issued a breach notice by the NRL for supporting convicted killer Kieran Loveridge.

The premiership winner wore arm bands with "FKL" written on strapping which he admitted stood for for 'For Kieran Loveridge'.

Loveridge was convicted of killing Thomas Kelly with a single punch in 2012.

A spokesman for the NRL said the breach notice related to Fifita’s on-field support for Loveridge.

The Integrity Unit met with Fifita today after receiving information from NSW police last week.

The controversial forward has been given five days to answer allegations in the breach notice.

Fifita has previously stated he has "no regrets" for his support of Loveridge.
