Twitter erupts over Tom Brady joining the illustrious 500 touchdown pass club
Social media has gone wild over New England Patriots legend Tom Brady joining an illustrious group of players by throwing 500 career touchdown passes.
Brady became just the third player in NFL history to achieve the feat, joining legendary quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Brett Favre as the only players to do so.
The 41-year-old's pass was caught by troubled wide-receiver Josh Gordon, who was only recently cut from the Cleveland Browns after a multitude of off-field issues over the past six years.
The catch gave Gordon his first touchdown as a member of the Patriots as he flashed his immense potential once again.

The pass to Gordon was one of three touchdowns thrown by Brady on the night as his 34/44, 341-yard outing gave the Patriots a 38-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Brady's link up with Gordon meant that Gordon became the 71st different player to receive a touchdown pass from Brady, an NFL record, passing up long-time Tampa Bay quarterback Vinny Testaverde.
However, Testaverde's record came while he played for eight different franchises over the span of 20 seasons, while Brady has done it all for the Patriots.

Given Gordon's checkered history during his NFL career, many fans found it amusing that the former Brown would be the one to catch Brady's 500th touchdown pass.
