NFL star Matthew Judon threatens reporter with strip club photo claim

It's every pro-athlete's revenge fantasy - but Matthew Judon may have gone overboard.

The Baltimore Ravens NFL star was unhappy about a report by ESPN's Jamison Hensley, claiming Judon turned down a contract extension worth an average of about $21 million a season.

The pass-rusher is expected to become an in-demand free agent next month, but even the whiff of a big-money contract couldn't stop Judon from taking his displeasure to the next level.

The defensive lineman turned to social media to not only call the report false but extort an apology and retraction from the reporter.

In since deleted posts, Judon refuted the news to his followers and called out Hensely's "lying butt".

"@jamison.hensley so I'm waiting on your ESPN sourced apology or I'm leaking these photos I got with you in the strip club," Judon wrote.

The 28-year-old player, wanted Hensley to reveal his source and wrote, "if you can't tell me that we're all going to have to think you pulling stuff outta nowhere."

Hensley refused to reveal his source but offered to add Judon's response to his original report. The reporter also offered to "listen and explain" his reporting in private.

The ESPN.com report now reads like this: "According to a source, the Ravens tried to strike a long-term deal with Judon this summer by offering him what Za'Darius Smith received in Green Bay (an average of $16.5 million) but he declined. Judon has disputed this report."

ESPN backed the reporter over what the company described as "uncalled for" attacks.

"We stand by Jamison Hensley's reporting, and Hensley added Matt Judon's perspective within the story," ESPN said in a statement.

"Regardless, the since-deleted personal attacks toward him were completely uncalled for."

Judon clarified his position and explained why he was so upset by the report, highlighting the residual impact of the reports which often lead to disgruntled fans spewing venom at him in public.
