Dolphin Landry stuns with amazing catch

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry pulled off arguably the catch of the NFL season after snaring a flying one-handed grab against the Indianapolis Colts.

The 23-year-old was up against Colts cornerback Darius Butler when Dolphins Ryan Tannehill looked to hammer home a first down in the fourth quarter.

Standing in the shotgun position, Tannehill took the snap, dropped back and immediately looked to his left for Landry.

But despite steaming down the sideline, Landry couldn’t shake the attention of Butler and get any separation.

However, Tannehill risked the possible interception and sent the ball spiralling down the field, forcing Landry to leap up, spin mid-air and miraculously haul in the one-handed, 14-yard (13-metre) reception.

The amazing grab vaulted Landry into the record books, becoming the first receiver to take 188 catches in their first two seasons.

The catch was immediately likened to "best friend" Odell Beckham Jr's "greatest catch ever seen" from last season.

During a match-up with the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giant Beckham Jr pulled off an incredible catch that defied belief and immediately became a part of sporting folklore.
