NFL: Cowboys star chases down pitch invader

The NFL Prow Bowl is not known for its seriousness as a sporting contest. 

So it's little wonder that when a pitch invader broke on to the field in the Orlando showpiece event, Dallas Cowboys superstar Ezekiel Elliot saw a chance to actually stretch out his legs. 

In between snaps at the end-of-year game, the young fan somehow evaded security and made it all the way to the halfway line. 

But his dash came to a crashing halt when Elliot came sprinting from a group of players and tackled the young fan. 

However, instead of handing the culprit on to security, the star running back let the fan loose, pointed him downfield and turned the incident into a running race. 

The victor was never in doubt with Elliot, who did give his rival a head start, sprinting clear as he has done for much of the season. 

Elliot, who only rushed for 20 yards on eight carries in the match, couldn’t help his NFC side fall to the AFC 20-13.
