West Coast Fever see off Sunshine Coast Lightning to secure grand final berth

West Coast Fever have stormed into the Super Netball Grand Final after downing Sunshine Coast Lightning 73-58.

The Fever shot off the blocks and never looked back as they outscored the two-time champions in all but the final quarter to reach their second grand final in three years.

Star shooter Jhaniele Fowler was in red-hot form, scoring 60 goals from 62 shots and combining with Emma Cosh and Alice Teague-Neeld in attack.

The Western Australians will now face Melbourne Vixens in Sunday's decider in Brisbane.

Fever blew the game open when they went on an early tear, scoring six consecutive goals in less than three minutes in the opening quarter.

By the end of the opening period of play, Fever had secured a nine point lead and never took their foot off the gas.

A brief late fightback by Sunshine Coast was of little concern with the Fever opting to rest their talent, including star centre Verity Charles, with one eye on next week's grand final.
