Magpies swooping at right time: Robinson

Magpies midcourter Madi Robinson says her team of champions is starting to play like a champion team at just the right time of the season.

The Magpies cemented fourth spot with a 12-goal win over the NSW Swifts on Saturday night rated by Robinson as her side's most complete game to date.

"We're heard a lot of people say we're just a group of individuals and we're not really a team but it was probably the best team performance in a sense," she said.

"It took every single one of us and we all played our roles really well.

"We need to start building on that and making sure each week that we play for each other, because we are a fantastic team away from the court it's just making sure we can show that out there on the court as well.

"It's a good time to do it with two more games before heading into the finals."

The newly minted Magpies came into the inaugural Super Netball season dubbed the 'dream team', featuring five starting Diamonds and as the bookies' side to beat.

However, scores didn't fall their way early on and criticism crept in as the side failed to produce what was expected from a team brimming with Test players.

With seven wins and five losses this season, Robinson said the Magpies' experience under pressure will set them up for the finals.

But first they must focus on their remaining games against the competition's two bottom sides: West Coast Fever and Adelaide.

"It would be great to obviously finish the season off really strong and build that confidence, in our own games and each other's, just heading into those last few games when you really just have to find that extra bit in finals," Robinson said.

"We respect our opponents and it doesn't matter where they are on the ladder, these games are really important and teams when they come up against the Magpies everyone is willing to play their grand final so we can't take anyone lightly."
