Tyler Everingham latest to switch V8 codes to take on Trans Am title
Another Supercars driver has confirmed they will switch V8 codes in 2023 to the rival National Trans Am Series.
Dubbo-born two-time Bathurst 1000 starter Tyler Everingham is set to contest the NASCAR-style series this year with Dream Racing.
The Calder Park Raceway-based team is set to run four entries this year led by Everingham who has been a regular of the Super2 Series since 2019.

He'll be joined by Adam Garwood, Josh Webster, and team owner Craig Scutella.

Everingham is the latest young gun from the Super2 Series to switch series after Jaylyn Robotham announced his signing with The Racing Academy.
Bathurst 1000 regular James Moffat will also contest Trans Am in full for the first time this year with Garry Rogers Motorsport.
"I haven't driven a Trans Am yet, so I'm looking forward to my first laps," said Everingham, who will make his debut at Symmons Plains on February 24-26.
"I have a test day coming next week at Winton weeks, which will be good preparation for the first round.

"Trans Am is a class I've been interested in for a while. It's a good pathway, so I wanted to make the jump across to a class where you can get lots of race laps in.
"My drive is still to make it to Supercars, and with Gen3 coming on, I thought it was important to get a feel for a different car so I can be ready for Supercars.
"It should be a very competitive Trans Am field. I'm looking forward to racing some of the experienced guys and the new guys."
Team owner Scutella is expecting Everingham to be a contender for race wins from the outset.
"Tyler is a multiple race winner in Super2, and we really feel that Tyler will light up Trans Am," said Scutella.
"With some luck and continued full focus, we are confident that he will be fighting for wins all season."
Everingham won't be the team's only debutant with local driver Garwood scoring his first start.

Garwood is something of a V8 racing all-rounder having contested Touring Car Masters, S5000, and Sprint Cars.
"I've always been keen to get into Trans Am," said Garwood.
"If we go alright at Symmons Plains, we'll look at doing a couple more, but it's only the one-off for Symmons.
"I've driven a fair bit of TCM, – lots of power and little tyre grip. I really like cars that move around on the tyre, and that's exactly what these cars do.
"The competition in Trans Am is great. It looks like good, hard racing. I'm looking forward to it.
"Of course, it would be good to be towards the pointy end, but there are lots of guys who have been doing it for a few years. My initial aim is to be inside the top 10."
The opening SpeedSeries round. Race Tasmania, at Symmons Plains takes place on February 24-26.
Stan Sport will carry live, ad-free, and uninterrupted coverage on Saturday and Sunday.
The Nine Network will carry three hours of free-to-air coverage on Saturday from 2pm to 5pm.
