Wild scenes in six car pile-up at Pskov Rally in Russia

Rally car racing is known for some gnarly crashes, but at an event in Russia one brutal turn sent six cars flying into a ditch in unbelievable scenes.

At the Pskov Rally near the Estonian border in Russia, six vehicles were totalled after drivers misjudged a corner and wildly skidded out of control.

Some of the cars crashed within such quick succession that they piled up on top of each other, and crews only narrowly avoided a further disaster as they were caught in the ditch as more vehicles flew out of the corner, nearly missing them.

Thankfully, according to reports no drivers or staff were injured in the crashes through the tricky left-hander.

Driver Gryazin Vasiliy of Fedorov Yaroslav (Skoda Fabia) survived the bend and was crowned the winner of the 2020 Pskov Rally.
