Raikkonen almost run over by Vettel

He may know his way around the track, but navigating pit lane by foot seemed a challenge for Kimi Raikkonen when he was almost run over by Sebastian Vettel in the lead-up to the Monaco GP.

The Finnish Ferrari driver had finished a practice session and was strolling through pit lane when he wandered into the path of Vettel's Red Bull as u was about to be released by mechanics.

Fortunately for Raikkonen, a quick-thinking Red Bull team member had his eye on proceedings and managed to pull the former World Champion out of harm's way - averting what could have been a painful and embarrassing mishap.

The mechanic appeared to find the incident highly amusing, but it would have been less of a laughing matter for Raikkonen had he been ruled out of Sunday’s race.

Meanwhile, Vettel managed to finish third in FP2, while Raikkonen posted the slowest time.
