Former Ferrari boss Jean Todt gives rare update on Michael Schumacher
Schumacher family friend Jean Todt has called for the family's privacy to be respected, saying the star's skiing accident had "consequences."
Michael Schumacher, 54, was seriously injured in a skiing accident in 2013 and was placed in a medically-induced coma.

The seven-time Formula 1 world champion's wife Corinna has been caring for him at their mansion near Lake Geneva, Switzerland, since the accident and his condition has been shrouded in secrecy.

Todt, Schumacher's former boss at Ferrari, gave an update on the family's circumstances to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
He's one a of a few that is trusted by the family and called for the media to back off in their pursuit of information on the F1 legend.
"Let's leave him alone," Todt said.
"We respect the privacy wishes of Corinna and her children, although we know of course that the accident had consequences.
"But anyone who says he knows something, knows nothing.

"I always go to see him. He and his family are my family."
Todt worked with Schumacher at Ferrari when the German won five consecutive world championships between 2000 and 2004.
Todt has previously said he watches Formula 1 races with Schumacher when he visits.
