Midget sprintcar flips out of track stadium

An American speedway driver has flipped right out of the stadium during a spectacular crash at Perris Auto Speedway in California over the weekend.

Footage from qualifying shows Austin Williams drift into a corner at high-speed when his midget sprintcar topples over and into a violent roll.

After flipping several times, the vehicle gets enough elevation to clear the high wire fence around the track.

The back tyre gets caught in the fence momentarily before the car falls to the ground, coming to a stop outside the track.

Incredibly, Williams walked away unscathed after becoming the first ever driver to clear the fence surrounding Perris Auto Speedway.
