Moto3 rider Jakub Kornfeil has pulled off an amazing save during the final lap of the French Grand Prix at Le Mans, after a rival rider crashed directly in front of him.

With Kornfield left with absolutely nowhere to go after hitting the bike directly in front of him, he displayed incredible presence of mind to execute a perfect jump, landing safely and continuing on to cross the line in 6th place.

“The first thing I was thinking of was to open the gas and stand up on the pegs,” he said.

“The landing was so heavy, my rear suspension went down to its maximum.

“It even activated my leathers’ airbag.

“I think I won’t ever forget this race.”

Kornfeil’s recovery left the commentary team stunned.

“What have we just seen?”

“Evel Knievel has got nothing on Jakub Kornfield, I’ll tell you that.

“This is incredible, you don’t see this too often.

“That was one of the most spectacular, outrageous moments you’ll ever see.”
