Hamilton stews on second place at GP

As his fellow Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg told of his victory, Lewis Hamilton fiddled with his diamond earrings.

He then stroked his designer-stubble, before twiddling his fingers.

To call Hamilton a teammate of Rosberg, who won Sunday's Australian Formula One Grand Prix, is a disservice.

They're both Mercedes drivers. But they're rivals.

Hamilton, the reigning world champion, finished second to Rosberg at Albert Park in Melbourne. And clearly, he didn't like it.

Hamilton initially made some right noises at the post-race media conference - describing it as a "great race", saying he was proud of Mercedes' one-two finish.

But then he was asked about his sluggish start - he slid from pole position to sixth by the time he went through the first-turn.

And Hamilton all but blamed the lost ground on being forced wide by his Mercedes teammate, err, fellow driver.

"Nico was forced wide maybe or something, and I was on the outside of him," Hamilton said.

"I was a little bit on the astroturf and the grass so was overtaken by quite a few people.

"After that, just having to try and fight my way back is hard work."

The comments surprised Rosberg.

"I just realised it now when Lewis was mentioning it, so I will have to look at it," he said.

"And if I did push you out wide, then I apologise of course. That was not the intention.

"I was kind of on the edge myself, as you could see."
