Go-kart driver gets flown over by rival

All racing drivers have wished they could literally fly over an opponent, but a Canadian go-kart driver had that wish granted in spectacular fashion.

In-kart footage from the Eastern Canadian Karting Championships shows a driver hurtling around a corner when the camera picks up a knock before a rival kart flies into the top of shot.

Incredibly, the rival driver sticks the landing, veering back onto the track to complete what will surely go down as the most dramatic pass in motorsport history.

The flying manoeuvre was probably the result of wheel-to-wheel contact, which sends open wheeled cars of all sizes soaring dangerously into the air.

However, most contact ends in disaster with cars or karts either flipping or rolling over.
