Hamilton wins Belgian GP, Ricciardo third

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has won the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday in his 200th Formula One race.

Hamilton led from pole position to take the chequered flag at Spa-Francorchamps ahead of Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel for his 58th grand prix win.

Vettel finished 2.3 seconds behind the Briton, after making a strong start and tailing the triple world champion all afternoon without being able to get close enough to make a move stick.

Daniel Ricciardo took third place for Red Bull after a storming re-start following a late safety car period that had closed the gap to the frontrunners. It was the Australian's 24th career podium finish and his second in succession in Belgium.

Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, with Valtteri Bottas in a Mercedes fifth.

Hamilton, who Saturday equalled Michael Schumacher's record of 68 poles, cuts Vettel's lead in the drivers' championship to seven points.
