'Extraordinary' pass highlights epic Bathurst 6 Hour win for Cameron Hill and Tom Sargent
Cameron Hill and Tom Sargent produced one of the greatest finishes at the Bathurst 6 Hour, winning the race despite starting from 63rd on the grid.
The pair's triumph was highlighted by the moment Hill passed Supercars veteran Tim Slade at Brock's Skyline for the lead in the closing stages, with a tick over 20 minutes to go.
Sargent dominated the field in the early stages, moving up 39 positions in the first two laps before setting up a thrilling finale for Hill.

And he didn't let his co-driver down, with a phenomenal pass at one of the most difficult areas of the Mt Panorama track to overtake.
"No way! There's contact between the two of them," said the race caller in commentary for Stan Sport.

"You don't pass at Brock's Skyline, it doesn't happen. Cameron Hill is in front.
"That was one of the biggest moments. Extraordinary stuff."
Hill and Sargent were forced to come from outside the top 60 for failing a technical inspection after qualifying, with that ruling stripping the team of pole position.

"It was a pretty mega final stint," Hill said.
"We took tyres because if the race stayed green, I don't think we would have got them, so we took tyres banking on a safety car and the Bathurst gods delivered.
"I just hunted him down, I think we broke the lap record along the way. I was really struggling to find a way past him, I could see he was struggling, but he put the car in the right places and I couldn't do much.
"I realised he was always weak at McPhillamy Park and I just thought if I could get a run through here, and send it up there, it's on. We did it, it stuck and the rest is history."
Sargent added: "I take my hat off to Cameron (Hill) to pass those guys at the front. They are pretty well-credentialed people and he really showed them a thing or two today."
Hill conceded the victory was extra sweet following fears the BMW M2 Competition wouldn't be ready in time.
"About a month and a half ago we were honestly thinking 'do we just give up now?' It was just so far from being done – it didn't even have a fuel tank – and the race was getting closer, but we said 'no, we'll crack on with it'. It turned its first laps last week," he said.
"The team did an awesome job. Didn't put a foot wrong. Pit stops were absolutely on point and Tommy drove some sensational stint, so it was an all-around performance."
Second place went to Slade and Brad Carr, while Shane Smollen, Rob Rubis and Nick Percat finished third.
