MMA star Sage Northcutt reveals horrific injuries after brutal first-round knockout

MMA fan-favourite Sage Northcutt revealed the horrific extent of the facial injuries he suffered after a first-round knockout in Singapore.

The former UFC star was making his ONE Championship debut when he was brutally knocked out in under 30 seconds by Cosmo Alexandre (8-1).

Northcutt (11-3) fell face-first into the canvas after Alexandre connected with the cleanest of head strikes.

Though he was able to stand for the official result to be announced, the aftermath showed just how much damage Alexandre did on the night.

Northcutt posted an image on social media of himself in a hospital bed following extensive facial surgery.

"I had 8 fractures and a nine hour intense operation. Feeling blessed for the amazing care and all the support from @onechampionship, my family/friends and fans!" Northcutt said.
