McGregor, Diaz set for UFC rematch
UFC champion Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz are set for a rematch to their blockbuster bout with both fighters agreeing in principle to return to the octagon in Las Vegas in June.
The fight will take place at the new T-Mobile Arena on July 9 (July 10 Australia time) for UFC 200, according to MMAFighting.com.
The prospective bout comes after McGregor's shock defeat to Diaz at UFC 196 earlier this month when the Irishman fell to a rear naked choke hold in the second round.
The fight was hastily arranged in just 11 days after McGregor's original opponent Rafael dos Anjos withdrew due to a foot injury.
The loss, which was not a title bout, was McGregor's first in eight UFC fights and dropped his professional record to 19-3, while nine-year veteran Diaz is now 19-10.
It was UFC's third-highest gate ever, with over 1.5 million pay-per-view buys.
McGregor and Diaz will share in the pay-per-view profits for UFC 200 as well once final numbers are decided and bout agreements are issued for the fight.
The pair would headline a UFC 200 card already featuring Cain Velasquez v Travis Browne and Gegard Mousasi v Derek Brunson.
