Kookaburras into Champions Trophy final

Australia are the first team through to the men's hockey Champions Trophy final after a come-from-behind 3-1 win over tournament hosts, the Netherlands.

The Kookaburras conceded an early goal in front of a full house in Breda but they got back on terms when Jake Harvie equalised.

Harvie's field goal in the 30th minute set the tone for the Kookaburras to dominate in the second term.

And it was Blake Govers who led the way with goals in the 35th and 55th minutes.

Govers' first goal followed a miraculous reverse shot that bamboozled the Netherlands defence.

His second was straight-forward for the reigning title holders and world champions.

It came from via the penalty spot and it ensured the Kookaburras a place in Sunday's final when they will be chasing a 15th Champions Trophy title.

The Kookaburras play Argentina on Saturday night (AEST) and Govers said the Australians were not concerned about their likely opponents in the final.

"To be honest we haven't done any research," Govers said.

"We heard over the speaker that we had made the final, but we don't really worry about numbers at this stage.

"We just win what we can win, you know. The Dutch at home would be another nice game, or India."
