A pair of Canadian thrillseekers has emerged unscatched after temporarily losing control of their kayaks at a staggering 70kmh.

Ben Marr and Rush Sturges are renowned for taking white-knuckle rides and decided to film themselves when they tackled a drainage ditch at Lions Bay Decent, north of Vancouver. Their footage shows them accelerating instantly after plunging into the narrow waterway, but just as quickly get into trouble. As one kayaker scrapes over rock and rubble up a bank, the other passes, unable to check his speed. The leap-frogging continues all the way to the bottom, where they are eventually spewed into the ocean screaming, but unharmed. Marr took to social media afterwards to share the moment, posting the video while gently ribbing his offsider."
