Sport has the power to delight and infuriate fans in equal measure, but it never fails to provide entertainment. Supporters all over the world are thrilled each and every week as they watch the best go at it. To celebrate all that's great about sport, here are the biggest hits from the week that was.

Starc shines again
Australia's World Cup hero Mitchell Starc (4-28) proved the selectors were right not to pick two spinners as he claimed 3-2 from three overs with the second new ball as the West Indies were dismissed for just 216. (AFP)
Matildas skipper matches Cahill
Matildas captain Lisa De Vanna made history at the Women's World Cup, with her goal against the USA meaning the 30-year-old has now found the net in three successive World Cups - a feat Tim Cahill achieved after scoring at the Brazil 2014 tournament. De Vanna's goal drew the Matildas level with the USA in the first half of their Group D clash...
...but the USA hit back to win
Christen Press restored the USA's lead in the second half, after slotting home a cutback from Sydney Leroux, who had made a superb run down the left flank. Megan Rapinoe then scored her second of the game to secure a 3-1 win for the two-time World Cup winners.
Stan stuns Djokovic...
At the French Open, Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka shocked world No.1 Novak Djokovic by sealing a 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-4 win for his second Grand Slam title.
...and then savours crazy win
The 2014 Australian Open champion described his Roland Garros victory as "completely crazy" as he paraded the trophy around Paris.
But defeated Djokovic receives ovation
Novak Djokovic missed out on securing the career Grand Slam, but was reduced to tears after receiving a two-minute standing ovation from French Open fans.
Serena seals Grand Slam No.20
Serena Williams won a landmark 20th Grand Slam title as she beat Lucie Safarova at Roland Garros, despite suffering from flu. (AAP)
Barca seal Champions League crown...
Goals from Ivan Rakitic, Luis Suarez and Neymar sealed a 3-1 victory for Barcelona in the Champions League final against Juventus.View more galleries
