NBA player launches ball into videoboard

The LA Clippers travelled to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Knicks and it was an unusual affair for many reasons.

Before the match, Clippers’ big man DeAndre Jordan was defending against a teammate during the warm up before the game.

After Jordan swats away the ball he throws the ball up in the air and then expects it come back down.

When he realises the ball was missing he looks up and realises it’s stuck in the videoboard maybe 20 or so metres up.

The match at the Garden made news for different reasons during the game.

Knicks legend Charles Oakley was kicked out of the arena and arrested after fighting with security guards.

Reports from New York suggest Oakley may have made some comments towards Knicks owner Jim Dolan who was sitting near him.
