Doug Griffith, Kaz Gladys announced as Team Australia captains for 2025 Invictus Games
Doug Griffith and Kaz Gladys have been announced as the captains of Team Australia ahead of February's Invictus Games
The retired navy and airforce soldiers will lead the 33-strong team in Canada.
Griffith, 54, will compete in the indoor rowing, nordic skiing, sitting volleyball and swimming events.

In February 2023, Griffith was diagnosed with terminal lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma — a rare non-Hodgkin lymphoma variant — before developing AL amyloidosis, another rare disease that causes a type of protein to build up in his organs.

Co-captain Gladys, 40, will represent Australia in the biathlon, swimming and wheelchair basketball.
Gladys sustained a back injury during her service with the Royal Australian Air Force.
She has since undergone multiple spinal surgeries, and because of complications, now has neurological impairments in both of her legs.
A mother to two boys, Gladys will be supported by her children at the Games.
"My kids remind me daily that I am the female version of Wolverine with all the metal now in my spine and pelvis," she said in a press release.
The Invictus Games — an international multi-sport event for wounded, injured and ill servicemen and servicewomen — was founded by Prince Harry in 2024.
Thirty-three athletes were selected to represent Australia in October.
For the first time, winter adaptive sports will feature in the event with six new events added including alpine skiing, skeleton and wheelchair curling.
The Invictus Games will be held from Saturday, February 8 to Sunday, February 16 in Vancouver and Whistler.
