Track rider suffers multiple fractures

Track rider Henry Kerehi has suffered multiple fractures in a fall at Randwick.

Kerehi was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital after the fall on Saturday morning with trainer Jim Lee saying he had broken his right shoulder and collarbone.

The rider has also suffered fractures to his ribs, a collapsed lung, and a torn tendon.

Kerehi was scheduled to undergo surgery on his shoulder on Monday and is expected to be off work for at least six weeks.
