Red Bomber aims for another VOBIS Gold win

A year after his upset win in the VOBIS Gold Sprint, Red Bomber is favourite to win the $250,000 Mile at the corresponding meeting at Caulfield.
The Mick Price-trained Red Bomber toppled Trust In A Gust as a $51 chance to win the sprint 12 months ago.
Now trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, the Group Three winner is the $3.20 favourite for Saturday's VOBIS Gold Mile.

While Red Bomber's handicap rating is clearly superior to his rivals who he meets at level weights, trainer Colin Scott is hoping Recalculate can make his presence felt.
"I just thought he was worth a throw at the stumps in this race," Scott said.
"The horse will run well, and we'll get a gauge where he's really at and whether he's up to this grade."
