'One of the easiest watches ever': UFC fighter reveals how he tipped fans into stunning multi win

UFC and horse racing don't usually go hand-in-hand.

But two years ago, Jack Jenkins made some punters a lot of money by spruiking a multi that combined his own fight and a high-profile race the next day.

During his time competing for Australian-based promotion Eternal MMA, the 30-year-old was rated as the outsider with bookmakers for his clash against Rod Costa.

Jenkins - who was clearly not lacking in confidence - took to social media to inform his followers of the error from the bookies and gave a tip for the All-Star Mile.

"I jumped onto my social media and told everybody that followed me that I'm paying $2.80 and I should be $1.04 to win," he told Nine's Two Each Way.

"Take a multi, me to win on Friday night and then on Saturday, Zaaki to win the All-Star Mile. I think at that point, Zaaki was probably paying $2.50 or $2.60.

"I went out and won the fight very convincingly and then it was one of the easiest watches ever on the Saturday morning, sitting back to watch Jamie Kah steer Zaaki to an All-Star Mile victory.

"I think the bookmakers took a rather large hit from all of those multis."

Since that successful weekend, Jenkins has gone on to compete on Dana White's Contender Series before earning a contract with the UFC.

Jenkins (2-3) last competed inside the octagon at UFC 305 in Perth, defeating Herbert Burns via TKO in the third round.

Zaaki on the other hand retired from racing earlier this year after a successful career.
