The six-year-old gelding wasn't expected to finish anywhere near the bottom according to bookmaker Bet365.

Just before the race, Ocean Billy was paying a fixed price of $34 to win and $8 to place.
At least 10 other horses were considered bigger outsiders than Ocean Billy by bookmaker Bet365.
Ocean Billy was trained by Chris Waller, who happened to be the trainer of today's winner as well the loser.

Verry Elleegant was the winner at Flemington, followed by Incentivise in second and Spanish Mission in third.
