'He's not right': Interpretation fails to finish Melbourne Cup, three other horses walked over the line
Interpretation has failed to finish the 2022 Melbourne Cup in an otherwise incident-free race.
Three other horses walked across the finishing line, finishing a long way behind winner Gold Trip after being pulled up by their jockeys.
Interpretation, a five-year-old brown, has since returned to scale, and according to a stable representative from Maher-Eustace Racing appears to be OK.

Camorra, Serpentine and Numerian walked over the line of the 3200m race.
Numerian was listed as finishing 73 lengths behind the winner with both Camorra and Serpentine 99 lengths behind.
Camorra jockey Ben Melham said his horse was fine, just pulled up due to not handling the conditions.
Interpretation jockey Craig Newitt was less optimistic about his charge in the aftermath of the race. "He's not right, that horse," he said, referring to the horse's breathing.
The news appeared better for Interpretation after getting back to scale.
In a later update, trainer David Eustace told SEN's Sportsday: "He has pulled 100 per cent, there's no issues".
Just before the race, Interpretation was paying a fixed price of $51 via Bet365 to win and $12 to place.
Tralee Rose also lost her front right shoe during the run to slip down the field.
Gold Trip was the winner at Flemington, followed by Emissary in second and High Emocean in third.
Coming in fourth was the favourite, Deuville Legend.
After all runners completed their customary post-race vet inspection, Racing Victoria's veterinary services team confirmed no significant findings.
