Jockey Luke Nolen is battered and bruised but expected to make a full recovery from injuries suffered in a fall at Morphettville.

Des O'Keeffe of the Australian Jockeys Association says Nolen has fractures to his left collar bone, shoulder blade and ribs and some bleeding in his spleen and liver.

The fall from Miss Promiscuity in Saturday's Robert Sangster Stakes came less than an hour after Nolen won the Australasian Oaks on Abbey Marie.

The Oaks was Nolen's first Group One win since he returned from seven months on the sidelines recovering from a back injury.

Best known as the rider of champion Black Caviar, Nolen is expected to be out for at least the rest of the season.

He will have further scans at the Royal Adelaide Hospital on Sunday.

Nolen came off when Miss Promiscuity appeared to stumble approaching the home turn and the jockey was injured by another horse as he lay on the ground.
