Blake Shinn wins appeal against ban

Jockey Blake Shinn has had a one-month suspension for his handling of Thud quashed by the Racing NSW Appeal Panel.

Shinn was outed for not giving Thud every chance to finish in the best position when she finished fourth in a race at Rosehill on June 18.

Stewards contended the jockey erred on four occasions in the race but on Thursday the appeal panel disagreed.

Shinn, who has returned from a winter holiday, will ride at Warwick Farm next Wednesday and Coffs Harbour the following day.
