Hobart handicap hopefuls race this weekend

Several Sydney to Hobart handicap hopefuls will have their final significant pre-race hitout this weekend.

The list of entrants for this weekend's Trophy Series races includes the top two in last year's overall standings of the Sydney to Hobart classic.

Overall winner Wild Rose and second-placed Chutzpah will be among the fleet for the races in Sydney.

Patrice is another fancied handicap contender scheduled to contest the races on Saturday and Sunday.

The final lead-up race containing a smattering of Sydney to Hobart entrants will be next Tuesday's Big Boat Challenge.

The majority of supermaxis and line-honours contenders will contest the popular sprint around Sydney Harbour.
