High schooler with one of the best individual efforts you'll see

He may have been scoring a touchdown rather than a try, but a high schooler has pulled off one of the best individual efforts you’d ever wish to see.

In the third quarter of the Pennsylvania state championship game, Steel Valley running back Najheir West cut inside a block but appeared to have run into a dead end when he was surrounded by four and then five defenders.

Showing remarkable strength and power that will surely have college scouts spellbound, West somehow breaks through despite an ankle tap.

Stumbling across the field, he then spins out of three more tackles once he’s regained his balance – even going backwards at one point - before sprinting away to complete the freakish 60-yard effort.

The touchdown was from West’s only contribution to Steel Valley’s comprehensive 49-7 win over the defending champions, Southern Columbia.

Despite still having one year left in high school, West finished with 266 yards and five touchdowns.
