Pitcher's incredible reflexes turn hit into ridiculous catch

A high school pitcher is being lauded for his incredible reflexes after reeling in an unbelievable bare-handed catch on the mound.

Footage from the clash in Ohio shows a pitch from Austin Trace rocket off the bat back towards the pitcher.

It looks a certainty to allow the batter to reach at least first base and record a hit until Trace flicks his right hand back from his follow through position to snatch the tracer bullet from the air.

The incredible grab left players in disbelief and is sure to make the high school pitcher a viral hit. It also left this writer struggling to think of anything but Trace puns.
