Hayne plane hailed in 'better than sex' song

Jarryd Hayne-mania has exploded in Australia and the US, now the gridiron convert has been hailed in song.

Less than a week after blowing the minds of critics with another brilliant pre-season performance for the San Francisco 49ers, the Hayne plane has hit the airwaves.

Australian musicians, The Robertson Brothers, have recorded a rap tribute to the former Kangaroos, NSW and Parramatta star, describing him as "better than sex",

Dubbed over footage of Hayne playing for the 49ers as well as highlights from his days at the Eels, the song taps into Hayne's quick conversion to American football.

"Jarryd Hayne's…a new 49er," the song begins.

"He's an Aussie who can play. He's an Aussie called the Hayne plane.

"He's an Aussie and the whole world's watching…watching him running, watching him stiff arming."

Another verse continues: "Let me welcome everybody to Hayne, who is the best.

"A rugger that's untouchable...you'd swear he's been blessed.

"San Francisco's the one to invest. The NFL has gone mad...this guy is better than sex."

The song comes as 49ers sponsor, Nike, has begun manufacturing Hayne's No.38 jersey as his bid to make the franchise's 53-man roster captures the imagination of sports fans either side of the Pacific.

The song even plays up the impact Hayne has had with his celebrated kick returns.

"He's been in the game two weeks and making returns," the song continues.

"Imagine what he's like when he has time to learn."

Showing footage of the 49ers home – Levi's Stadium – the YouTube clip even includes a photoshopped billboard emblazoned with "The Hayne Plane".

And then urges fans to: "Throw your arms out and glide like a plane.

"He's going off Jarryd Hayne in Cal-if-orn-i-a."
