Witness claims Allenby had drunken fall

Australian golfer Robert Allenby was "blitzed" and nodded off and fell face first onto rocks, a homeless man has claimed.

Toa Kaili is the latest witness to refute Mr Allenby's claims that was drugged, abducted, bashed and robbed after leaving an up-market bar in Waikiki, Honolulu.

Mr Kaili told News Corp that only in the last of his three encounters with the PGA Tour golfer did he have a "busted-up" face, reportedly the doing of a group of thugs.

During their first run-in, it took the homeless man 10 minutes to wake Mr Allenby and another eight minutes for him to stand.

"He was beyond tipsy, this man was blitzed," Mr Kaili told the newspaper."He then started saying, 'Where's the other guy? You gave him the keys; to get the keys.'

"I was like, 'Woah, this dude is beyond having drinks'."

When Mr Allenby turned on him and his friend, Chris, accusing them of stealing his wallet and phone, he left.

But two-and-a-half hours later their paths would cross again when the golfer – who did not recognise Mr Kaili – began trawling through his bag.

"He kept on saying, 'You know who I am'. I didn't care because to me he was a guy passed out on the street and I was trying to help him," he said.

Mr Kaili said Mr Allenby threw a punch but missed. He left, but his friend stayed with him.

Returning 30 minutes later, this time he found Allenby bloodied and bruised.

"When I asked, 'What the hell happened?', Chris said, 'I tried to hail him a cab. He was rocking back and forth, nodded off and face-planted into this damn jagged rock'."

Police have interviewed Mr Kaili and homeless woman Charade Keane, who got a $1000 reward from Mr Allenby for helping him, and are looking to speak to Chris.

Detectives are reportedly treating the incident as petty theft.
