US Masters champion Sergio Garcia wears green jacket to wedding

Sergio Garcia has made no secret of the fact that he loves his green jacket ever since he won the US Masters but even Wide World of Sports is unsure of his latest public outing with it.

The Spanish golfer donned the jacket for his wedding to Angela Akins, a golf reporter he has been dating since 2015.

Garcia had threatened to wear the green jacket to his wedding after winning the Masters in April, his first major on the tour from 73 attempts.

Thankfully, he did wear a black suit to the ceremony before whipping out the green jacket to dance up a storm with his new bride at the reception.

It shouldn't have come as too much of a surprise, with the green jacket also making a very public appearance at Wimbledon to watch Rafael Nadal beat Karen Khachanov.

Garcia also had a green tie to match his jacket and to be fair, Akins didn’t seem to mind the whole thing after buying green robes for her bridesmaids.

Other touches included their dog, Bear, being the ring bearer while Garcia organised for musician Kenny G to perform at the reception.

Golf wasn't forgotten about on the big day either, with the pair managing to slip in a little putting practice before exchanging vows.

Not surprisingly, Garcia drained the putt and received a kiss from his bride-to-be.
