It took some Australians going crazy for Swedish golfer Jenny Haglund to register that she had landed a hole-in-one and a new car.

Haglund aced a par-three hole at Adelaide's Kooyonga course on Saturday at the Australian Open.

The 24-year-old will drive away with a prestige Genesis car as a reward.

But she didn't actually see her ball drop into the hole at the 140-metre 14th.

"No, I couldn't see it," Haglund said.

"But I knew when the crowd went crazy.

"I just looked at my caddie and just stood there with my mouth open.

"I don't think we realised for a few seconds what we had really done."

Haglund's sweet seven-iron was her fourth career ace.

"The others have all been in tournament play but I have never got anything for them, let alone a Genesis," she said.

"Three lots of nothing and now an awesome car.

"I can't believe it.

"I can't wait to drive it."
