PGA Tour pro to trial side-saddle putting style

The weirdest player on the US PGA Tour is taking it up a notch.

Bryson DeChambeau’s weirdness comes from his willingness to challenge the conventions that run the game.

If the fact all his irons are the same length wasn’t enough, or that he floats his golf balls in a mix of warm water and Epsom salts to check they are balanced isn’t enough, then take a look at his new side-saddle putting stance.

In something to you have watch a couple of time to work out exactly what it happening, DeChambeau faces front-on and then putts from an extremely strange position next to his body.

The 25-year-old American is planning to use this new method in the end-of-year Franklin Templeton Shootout in Naples, Florida.

If this side-saddle style works, it will be interesting to see if anyone else joins him.
